I’m an “I do not like children” person but not an “I hate children” person. I do not want a child. I do not particularly like being in the company of small children. I am not interested in babysitting. I do not think society’s view on procreating being necessary to fulfill one’s life is healthy. But I think kids are people too and they deserve all the resources, time and attention they need to successfully grow. I think the welfare of children is fundamental to society. I smile at babies in public. I try to be sympathetic if a child is having a meltdown in public. I think being cruel to children is one of the worst things a human can do.
This puts me in a strange middle ground because I absolutely cannot get along with the “I love babies, I need to have kids, my kids are my world, having children is sooo beautiful, the world should cater to children always” crowd or the “I think children are like disgusting little rats, I hate them, they’re subhuman” crowd.
i don’t even go here (i don’t own a switch and can’t afford one and wouldn’t buy one even if i could) but i think they should replace culex with kefka in the smrpg remake simply because it would be funny
i know there’s probably been thousands of impassioned posts along the lines of “they should keep culex/remove that battle entirely for x reason(s)” or “sephiroth would be the best fit because he’s That Guy and has fought mario before (in smash) and canonically fucks with time and space anyway so it wouldn’t be a huge stretch” but. consider it. evil clown
also, start the first few bars of the iconic culex/battle music 2 and then Kefka drops down with the SNES sprite and plays the original original laugh track from FF6.
people who have “detrans” listed in their dni need to realize that we need to be supportive of all people who experiment with gender. it’s okay to detransition if you realize it just isn’t for you or you’re not the gender you thought you were. yes, some people who have detransitioned blame the trans community for their transition and “confusing them”, but if we’re not allies to people who detransition, the wrong people will be, and that’s what causes transphobic detrans people. it’s okay to experiment with gender and it’s okay to figure out that you are actually cis or just not the gender you were transitioning to. supporting self discovery is key to making a safer and more inclusive environment for trans/queer people.
happy pride please remember this
The problem isn’t people who transition, the problem is the people who weaponize this as though it means that trans health care is somehow wrong. Do not attack queer people for ‘giving’ conservatives ammunition.
Besides, how many people detransition because of the overwhelming transphobia.
